KNUTSFORD Market Hall held its first quiz night on Thursday, raising £476 for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Around 15 teams, a mixture of residents and local businesses, took part in the quiz with 100 per cent of the money raised going to the charity.

A number of businesses supported the event with raffle donations, including Diamond Nails, Roberta Beauty Re-defined and The Old Sessions House, with the winning team enjoying first prize of a ‘bar tab’ courtesy of Wine and Wallop.

There were also ‘yellow angel’ keyrings/bag charms to buy courtesy of White Dog Jewellery.

The quiz mirrored Peter Murray of Pulse of Perfumery’s efforts to turn Knutsford yellow last year.

The quiz sheets were yellow, with one round having a yellow theme, participants were encouraged to wear yellow and yellow balloons adorned the Market Hall.

Jonty Page, local Quiz Master, oversaw proceedings with The Market Café and Morgan Edwards Fine Wines providing Tapas and drinks respectively.

Sandra Curties, town centre manager said: “This was our first charity quiz night and we were overwhelmed with the support we received from the public and local businesses.

“The evening had a real community feel and we might do it again.”

Knutsford Market Hall is open every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 4pm. Shoppers at Knutsford Market can find everything for dinner from, fruit and veg and a great range of meat, poultry and fish.
