The aftermath of one of the grass fires in Over Peover
FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a fire in a field off the A50 at High Legh.
The fire involves 50 square metres of wheat, and police are helping to control traffic.
Earlier this morning firefighters put out two grass fires in a field off Grotto Lane, Over Peover, covering an area of about 120 metres by 10 metres.
The crew attended at about 11.15am, and used hose reel jets and beaters.
