POLICE are seeking information about a deliberate bin fire which damaged a building.
At about 2.55am today (Friday) firefighters were called to a report of a fire involving a bin and a trellis in Springfields, Knutsford.
On arrival the crew discovered a bin bag well alight outside a property, and the fire had damaged the building.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the fire and then damped the area down and used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
They were in attendance for an hour and 15 minutes. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately, and anyone with any information about the incident should call police on 101, give the details via General Enquiries or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
