KNUTSFORD’S civic leader is hoping his first fundraiser of his mayoral year will be a sizzling success.

Cllr Peter Coan is inviting everyone to join him at a summer barbecue on Friday, July 6.

The Market Café will be providing delicious barbecue food, salads and desserts, and the fundraising event will be held on the gardens next to the town council offices on Toft Road.

Cllr Coan said: “I do hope you will be able to join me for a relaxed evening of food, drink and hopefully some summer sunshine to help me kick off my year of fundraising. Everyone is welcome.”

Tickets are £20 per person. A cash bar will be available on the night. All proceeds raised will go to support the Mayor’s charities - Friends of the Moor, Knutsford Community First Responder Trust, The Welcome and Knutsford Heritage Centre.
