CHESHIRE Pet in Holmes Chapel has welcomed new Veterinary Nurses Amy Kelly and Jenni Ramcharan.

Amy began her nursing career at a large referral, critical care hospital in Cheadle Hulme.

Since qualifying in 2013, she then became part of the ophthalmology team at the hospital.

Amy lives locally with a menagerie of three dogs and two cats. She has a strong interest in the nursing of exotic animals, therefore plans to start her certificate soon.

Amy said: “Cheshire Pet is a practice which is really leading the way - in particular they are recognised for working with exotic species, which is a specific interest of mine.

“It’s a really rewarding job, and I enjoy helping care for all the pets and supporting their owners in what can sometimes be stressful times.”

Jenni lives locally, and has been working on a temporary basis at Cheshire Pet.

Jenni said: “Not all veterinary practices are the same. Here at Cheshire Pet we get to see a lot of interesting cases, due to the wide range of services and specialist areas offered.

“You never stop learning as a Veterinary Nurse and I am excited to expand my veterinary knowledge.”

Edward Davies, Veterinary Surgeon at Cheshire Pet Holmes Chapel said: “Veterinary Nurses are vital individuals needed within a practice to keep it going.

“Amy and Jenni are great additions to our team, they bring excellent skills and practical experience. It is great to know the pets we care for each day are in safe hands.”
