RESIDENTS looking to relax in glamorous surroundings are being offered free day passes at a new-look spa.

Cottons Hotel and Spa at Knutsford has unveiled its new-look spa following a substantial investment.

The pool hall, relaxation lounge and changing rooms have been revamped over the past two months, with £350,000 being spent on the upgrade.

The sauna, steam room and monsoon shower have been refurbished, and the pool has a new range of seating and relaxation areas, including booth seating and mood lighting.

To celebrate the new-look spa the hotel is offering free day passes for a limited period so residents can experience it for themselves - to book a pass call 01565 652001.

Spa manager Phil Rickett said: “We couldn’t be happier with our new facility, which has something to offer for everyone, whether they are a local spa member, hotel guest or here for a spa day.

“We offer more than 40 classes per week in our refreshed studio, large gym and functional space, not forgetting the outdoor hot tub for some relaxation.”

General manager Steve Ogden said: “The changes are striking. The new look is really elegant - we’re delighted with it.

“We’ve had great feedback from our spa members and visitors – many have said it feels like they’re stepping into a brand new spa.

“And it’s not just the main pool hall that has had work taking place, as we’ve also transformed the changing rooms.

“We’ve stripped out the wooden lockers and replaced them with some contemporary opaque glass ones and we’ve then refurbished everything else around them.”

The hotel’s interior designer, Rachel Wootton, was keen to ensure the spa was given a timeless look but remain elegant and have a relaxed spa atmosphere.

She said: “It’s gone from being a place to enjoy leisure time to a more high-end spa, adding a touch of glamour to it all. It’s very stylish.”
