GUEST vocalist Jenn Clempner will be showcasing her fusion of jazz, soul and electronic influences at the Knutsford Mayor’s final fundraising event.
Singer-pianist Jenn is performing at Cllr Neil Forbes’ Mayor’s Speakeasy Big Band Night on Friday, April 27 at St John’s Church.
Cllr Forbes said: “My fundraising year is ending, and this is sure to be a great night with jazz, swing and funk music from the Fish Lip Soup Big Band featuring guest vocalist Jenn Clempner.
“I hope to have a great turnout to help me smash my fundraising target to raise money for local charities. Don’t worry - I won’t be on the stage!”
Tickets are £12.50. To book your place contact the Mayor’s PA Annabel Irvine on annabel.irvine@knutsfordtowncouncil.gov.uk or call 01565 653929.
All money raised from the event will go to Knutsford Youth Orchestra, Knutsford Friendship Café and Mid-Cheshire Riding for the Disabled.
Formerly a backing vocalist and keys player for artists such as The Hoosiers, Jenn has been performing for more than a decade and playing the Manchester live music circuit as a solo artist over the past six years.
She has toured throughout the UK and Europe with indie-pop outfit The Hoosiers and the USA with rock band Hero.
Jenn has performed at Maida Vale, Bournemouth Opera House, London’s Islington Academy, Latitude and V-Festival alongside such artists as Cat Power, Travis, Air Traffic and The Fray.
