BOOTHS supermarket in Knutsford is to champion the cause of Knutsford Community First Responder Trust over the next year.

The trust is one of two charities which will be supported by the store in 2018 after nominations from staff.

“We are really looking forward to working with the Trust over the next financial year, and hope we can support them in raising money and awareness across the community,” said store manager Ruth Wigglesworth.

Knutsford Heartstart co-ordinator Adrian Rees said: "We are absolutely delighted to be nominated by Booths as their Charity of the Year and their interest to work with us over the coming 12 months to host new and innovative opportunities to promote the life-saving services Knutsford First Responders provide free of charge to the Knutsford community.

“As everything we do is funded by generous donations from the Knutsford residents, being offered this fantastic opportunity to showcase our services to Booths customers and to assist in raising the £35,000 we need each year to maintain these life-saving services, is absolutely superb.

“Our thanks to Booths supermarket in Knutsford, and particularly to Ruth Wigglesworth and her dedicated staff, for nominating us."

Booths will also be supporting Hampers of Hope over the coming year, and supported the Alzheimer’s Society and St Luke’s Hospice last year.
