A NEW spring menu has launched at Knutsford’s Brasserie Blanc, with a collection of innovative and adventurous dishes inspired by Raymond Blanc’s global travels.

The new dishes include the flavours of Asia and spices of Morocco, to Italian classics and Chilean street food, as well as an enticing selection of new vegan and vegetarian options.

Each dish has a fascinating Raymond Blanc travel tale behind it, from typically Venetian morning meanderings around the Rialto Fish Market or being blown away by blackened chicken on the Chilean street food scene, to bartering in Morocco which ended with a threat of violence if he continued to haggle.

New dishes include Malabar fish curry with toasted coconut, cod with preserved lemon and squid ink risotto, lamb tagine and vegetable summer rolls, all given the Brasserie Blanc touch to make them truly unique.

The fresh vegan options include a hearty chilli pie, pea, broad bean and red pepper salad, butternut squash with citrus bulgur wheat salad, and coconut rice with fresh mango.

Brasserie Blanc, in Regent Street, Knutsford, was named restaurant of the year for 2017 by Cheshire Life after only a year of opening.
