CHEFS at Sunrise Senior Living of Mobberley welcomed guests to a series of events to celebrate its annual Taste of Sunrise campaign, to highlight the importance of healthy eating and nutritious meals for older people.

The Taste of Sunrise campaign – which took place from March 12 to 18 (Nutrition and Hydration Week) – saw every Sunrise community, including Sunrise of Mobberley, opening its doors to serve a delicious meal to their friends and neighbours.

As part of the campaign, Sunrise of Mobberley hosted two events to celebrate great food.

The community invited all to ‘A Day at the Riviera’, where guests were treated to a fun-filled, Moulin Rouge-themed afternoon.

French champagne was served, and there was entertainment from vibrant Can Can dancers.

On Saturday March 17, Sunrise of Mobberley hosted a special St Patrick’s Day event, at which the community’s expert dining team served homemade Irish stew, alongside a plentiful supply of Irish Guinness.

Sunrise of Mobberley’s chefs gave a talk on the different ways fresh, seasonal vegetables can be used, while a guest Irish leprechaun was in attendance.

Dawn Williams, Director of Community Relations at Sunrise of Mobberley, said: "We all had a wonderful time.

"Our ‘Day at the Riviera’ and St. Patrick’s Day events provided a great opportunity to celebrate Taste of Sunrise and a chance to educate people about the need for a nutritious diet as you grow older.

"We want to thank our dining team who work hard every day to ensure every resident receives exceptional food which meets their individual needs, and that our residents enjoy the highest quality of care. We are so proud of them.

"Dining for a lot of our residents is the focal part of the day and it is important that what they are served gives them something to look forward to."
