BEER festival organisers aim to serve up superb entertainment as well as top quality ales.

The Knutsford Beer Festival takes place next month, and as well as a range of craft ales will be offering a line-up of top musicians to tempt festival-goers.

The festival takes place on Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21 at Egerton Youth Club in Mereheath Lane.

Those attending on the Saturday evening can raise a tankard to one of the best and most energetic folk bands in the country.

“Merry Hell are in the middle of a sold-out UK tour, so we are super proud to have them playing for us in Knutsford,” said Paul Langley from the organising team.

“They were nominated in the best band category in 2017 Folking Awards, so expect rousing anthems, romantic ditties and acoustic ballads in this exclusive extended acoustic show.

“Merry Hell are one of the UK’s finest and most popular folk bands out there, and it’s a real coup to have them.

“On the Friday we have a real treat in store with festival favourites and Chester’s finest - Bad Dukes and Beggars.

“Expect the unexpected - Kingston, Jamaica meets Knutsford in Ska-style fusion, playing classic Ska hits and a few surprises.

“Bad Dukes and Beggars are widely tipped to be big on the ever-popular Ska circuit.

“We are aiming to get everyone dancing throughout Friday and Saturday evening by showcasing the very best in live music at this year’s beer festival.

“Providing the musical ambience on Thursday’s sponsor’s evening is Knutsford’s very own Fine Lines.

“They will be playing exclusive tracks from their new album before heading out on the road to play at various festivals across the UK.”
