ELDERLY residents at Leycester House Care Home in Mobberley were evacuated in the early hours of this morning during a snow storm.
The home, in Edenfield Road, was evacuated due to a fire alarm being set off.
Firefighters from Knutsford were sent to the home at 5.33am.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: “Firefighters responded to a fire alarm at a residential home in Mobberley.
“Staff had evacuated residents from the building while firefighters checked the area for fire, including checking the loft space with a thermal imaging camera and isolating the electrics.
“A blown light bulb was found to have set off the alarm.”
