POSITIVITY practitioner Carol-Ann Reid will be explaining how to create a more positive ‘mindset’ at a major fundraiser for a new support group for parents.

Carol-Ann will be speaking at a fashion show at The Courthouse Hotel in Knutsford in May being staged by the Wilmslow Teenage Support Group for Parents.

The group is the brainchild of Valerie Kilby, who runs it with the support of Carol-Ann, Jo Moore, Sarah Musique-Hargreaves and Penelope Marshall Silver.

The fashion show takes place on Saturday, May 12, at 7pm, and is aimed at helping to fund a mental health and wellbeing campaign.

There will be wellbeing talks, speakers and an art display, including a talk by Carol-Ann, who with Jo Moore founded Snapp Happy, which offers workshops and programmes designed to build positivity, strengthen resilience and increase success.

Carol-Ann said: “I am incredibly excited to be a part of the charity and the upcoming event, and will be talking about how people can create a more positive mindset.

“Seeing so many professionals coming together and offering their support and services to parents who need it is something which is going to make a huge difference to the community.

“We see first-hand in schools the effect that social and emotional anxiety is having on children and teenagers.

“Together we can provide incredible support and intervention techniques, and the event in May is going to be an evening to remember.”

Carol-Ann’s background is in fitness and life coaching.

“It was after my own life events that I discovered the effect that our beliefs and self-talk have on our lives and happiness,” she said.

“I went through losing my step dad to suicide and my best friend to terminal cancer.

“This steered me to passionately wanting to help others who may be struggling silently with anxiety or depression and to discover how you can create a more positive, resilient mindset.”

Carol-Ann and Jo Moore shared a very similar vision, and together created Snapp Happy Bands, the Positivity Practitioner course for adults and workshops which are being rolled out in schools around the north west.

Tickets for the fashion show are available through the Eventbrite website, by emailing sales17@hotmail.co.uk or calling Valerie on 07772 446368.
