COMEDIAN Ted Robbins will be the star guest at a major fundraiser being staged by Knutsford Community First Responder Trust.

The Heartbeat Ball is being held at The Courthouse Hotel in Knutsford on Saturday, April 14, and the trust is selling 150 tickets for the evening at £45 each.

The black tie event starts at 7pm for 7.30pm, with a guest appearance by Ted, who suffered a suspected heart attack in 2015 and is a keen supporter of the First Responders.

There will also be table magic from Fusion, dancing until late with DJ Steve Sale, a two-course meal, tea and coffee, and a raffle and auction led by Ted.

Carriages are at 1am, and for tickets ring Heather Lawrence on 01565 651438 or Pauline Coffey on 07731 842526.

The trust runs monthly Heartstart courses at Knutsford Methodist Church on the first Thursday of the month from 7pm to 9.30pm.
