A PIANIST who starred at last year's inaugural Knutsford Music Festival has recorded his second album of uplifting music,

Adrian Lord, who lives in the town and began piano lessons aged six, is set to release 'Sky Blue Piano' on March 2.

Available on CD and for download, the album will also be available as piano sheet music so other pianists may play the pieces.

Adrian said: “I have really enjoyed fulfilling my ambition of recording my own music, and sharing it with some wonderful people through my concerts.

"I have been writing short piano pieces for as long as I can remember."

The album will launch with a concert at Macclesfield United Reformed Church on Park Green from 3pm on Sunday, February 18. He will also play at Manchester Cathedral on June 2.

The work is influenced by Adrian's interest in the connection of music and colour to paint different moods and styles.

Adrian studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and at Colchester Institute. He performed to a sell-out audience in Knutsford last summer, and more recently at venues in Edinburgh, Sheffield, Dundee, Worcester and Nottingham.

His first London recital will take place in March.
