AN alternative band that formed at Priestley College are set to release their debut album.

Milestones’ record, Red Lights, will be released on February 23 after the group went in the studio with producer Phil Gornell, who is known for his work with Bring Me The Horizon, All Time Low and You Me At Six. It comes less than two years after the band secured a deal with Fearless Records and released their debut EP, Equal Measures.

Before that the band made a name for themselves on the live scene supporting the likes of Simple Plan, Hawthorne Heights and Mayday Parade.

Guitarist Drew Procter, from Burtonwood, and former drummer Andy Makin, from Padgate, formed Milestones with frontman Matt Clarke, bassist Mark Threlfall and guitarist Eden Leviston in 2014.

Matt has said, “Red Lights is about using the demons in your mind to become the best version of yourself you can be.

“Whether it be in love, success or finding who you are growing up, pain will always be the strongest gift you are given to becoming the person you wish to be.”

The first single to be taken from Red Lights is Paranoid which is already beginning to gain popularity on streaming site Spotify.
