PALOMA Faith is bringing her Architect Summer Tour to Delamere Forest as part of the popular Forest Live series.

The London singer-songwriter and former judge on The Voice will be headlining an open air gig in the forest near Northwich on Sunday, June 10.

She will be joined by a number of special guests who are yet to be announced.

Paloma is riding a high at the moment as her album, The Architect, topped the charts when it was released in November.

Since then the record has spent eight weeks in the top 10, propelled by the popular singles Crybaby, Guilty and ‘Til I’m Done.

Paloma has also been nominated for a BRIT Award for best British female solo artist following The Architect’s success.

And the album is currently on course to become her fourth consecutive double platinum album – which would make her the first British woman in chart history to achieve this.

A spokesman for Forest Live said: “Equally at home both onstage and in the studio, these shows will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the summer season.”

Paloma, who is often compared to Amy Winehouse and Adele, is also known for her roles on the TV and in film.

She was in Heath Ledger’s last film, Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

Paloma was also in 2007’s St Trinian’s and more recently played Tinker Bell in the TV film Peter and Wendy, based on Peter Pan.

Forest Live is a national live music series, managed by the Forestry Commission.

Held every year in the woodland locations it manages, more than 1.5 million people have attended a gig in the programme’s 17-year history.

The money from ticket sales is used to look after the UK’s forests sustainably, for people to enjoy and wildlife to thrive.

n Paloma Faith will perform at Delamere Forest, Delamere, near Northwich, on Sunday, June 10.

Tickets are £43 plus a £4.80 booking fee. They are available from 9am on Friday, February 2.
