AN original painting by a renowned Knutsford artist has helped raise almost £900 for the town’s First Responders.

Peonies & Cherries Knutsford View by Emma Williams was the subject of a hotly-contested raffle in aid of the Knutsford Community First Responders Trust, with £847 raised from ticket sales.

Despite a raft of entries, the winner – as picked out by KCFRT patron Dr Michael Oliver – was Knutsfordian Sian Hoolah.

Emma, who exhibits her modern still life work across the country and beyond, presented the painting to Sian.

Adrian Rees, KCFRT trustee, said: “Thanks again for all the hard work of our trust members in selling the raffle tickets, with a grand total of £847.40 raised towards our many services.

“Thanks, again, to Emma Williams for her most generous donation of her fabulous painting to KCFRT.”

The raffle was drawn on November 17, with Emma having gifted the painting in September after joining the trust.

The money raised will help the trust continue its lifesaving work in Knutsford. The services offered include first responding to medical emergencies, educational Heartstart courses, installing defibrillators throughout the community, and cardiac screening days for young adults.

All of the trust’s voluntary work relies on generous donations from residents and businesses. Contact Adrian for more information on 01565 631324 or visit heartstartknutsford.co.uk.
