OFFICERS are investigating the theft of a medical car from Oulton Park, after it was found undamaged in at Delamere Forest.

The silver BMW X5, which is used to provide medical assistance for racegoers, was taken from the race track shortly before 2.40pm on Tuesday, November 14.

It was later found around seven miles away in the forest shortly before 5pm, and enquiries are continuing into the theft.

Ch Insp Simon Meegan, from the Northwich local policing unit, said: "Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and part of the investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone who believes that they may have seen the stolen vehicle."

The estate car is branded as the ‘Oulton Park Medical Car’ and is 'easily recognisable'.

A police spokesman added: "Anyone with any information that could assist with the investigation is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 470 of November 14

"Information can also be passed anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111."
