THE former landlady of the Legh Arms is enjoying a change of scenery as a singer in a band.
Zoe Blythe, 35, ran the pub with husband Matt for three years up to May this year, having joined friend David Boardman’s new band Fine Lines a year earlier.
Growing from a duo to a six-piece, the act includes BBC Radio 2 DJ and Knutsford Mark Radcliffe on drums, Alex Berry on bass, Emily Doggett on violin and keyboard player Gary O’Brien.
Having enjoyed a sell-out show at Knutsford Little Theatre in April, launching debut album Hour of Need, Fine Lines return to the Queen Street venue tomorrow, Friday 17.
Zoe said: “Matt and I had an amazing three years running the pub, but the work was very physically demanding and earlier this year we felt it was time for a change of career.
“I have always enjoyed singing and performed many times at the pub and other local venues, so when the opportunity to join Fine Lines arose, I jumped at the chance.
“Knutsford Little Theatre is one of our favourite local venues and we have a great evening planned with some new songs and a brilliant line-up.”
