KNUTSFORD Market Hall has welcomed its newest trader, with Peter Martinez of The Cheese and Pie Company setting up shop.

Peter began trading at the indoor Silk Mill Street market hall last week, in the stall opposite The Market Café.

He brings with him a selection of cheeses, ranging from Brie De Meaux to Lancashire Black Bomb and Snowdonia waxed truckles, as well as handmade pies including pork and pickle, duck and orange, and royal game.

Peter said: "I have always had a passion for quality cheese and pies and have ensured all our produce is carefully handpicked and not mass produced.

"We are also very proud that our producers also supply the same pies to two very famous stores in London – Harrods and Fortum and Masons.”

Town centre manager Sandra Curties said: "Peter sells a wide range of carefully selected delicious cheese and pies which we are sure will prove popular with existing and new customers.

“It is great to be able to provide a space for Peter’s business and I hope that it helps draw more visitors to our little gem of a market hall."

Knutsford Market Hall is open every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 4pm.
