CHILDREN from Westminster Nursery School welcomed Crewe’s MP to see the outstanding work that is going on in Cheshire East’s only maintained nursery school.
After meeting head teacher Elizabeth Hulse, Laura Smith, MP for Crewe and Nantwich, was given a tour around the nursery and spoke to staff and children about their activities.
Laura felt that the school is a valuable asset to the local community and was pleased to hear of the school’s success in working with the whole school community, and achieving ‘school readiness’ for each child as they progress into Primary School.
Ms Hulse said: “It was wonderful to welcome our local MP into the school to see our children working and to experience and share in the excellent opportunities that Westminster Nursery School provides.
“We work hard with our families to provide the best possible educational start in life for each individual child.”
