THE third branch of an award-winning Spanish restaurant has launched in Knutsford to a warm reception.

Evuna, the north west’s leading tapas bar and wine boutique, opened its doors in King Street at the end of August, following on from its success in Deansgate and the Northern Quarter.

Founder and managing director Jane Dowler, a wine expert, said: “We are so excited to be bringing Evuna to Knutsford, and restoring the amazing building at 46 King Street.

“The new restaurant is Evuna’s most ambitious restaurant to date, with three floors devoted to the best in Spanish food and wine as well as a new outdoor space for year-round fine dining.”

A signature blend of tapas, main courses and paellas make up the popular menu, complemented by a boutique wine list.

The restaurant has a traditional wine cellar, visible through glass paving from the street, storing an ever-changing monthly selection bought directly from Spain.

As well as a bustling tapas bar on the ground floor and more formal dining space upstairs, a separate private area is available for parties of up to 20 to hire.

Executive head chef Arek and his team will be able to make use of a Josper Charcoal oven in the King Street kitchen, a unique indoor BBQ-style oven from Barcelona which retains natural moisture as flavour while cooking.

Evuna launched in 2002 as a fine wine house, before opening the Deansgate restaurant in November 2003.
