VICTORY Hall A recovered from losing the first four blocks to beat title-rivals Railway A in the Knutsford Friday League’s latest round.
They trailed by 31 chalks before wins for Syliva Buckley, Bob Spilsbury, Terry Norman and Stephen Buckley – two of those to single figures – turned the contest their way.
A 16th win of the season leaves them 83 points clear at the Division One summit with six games left.
At the bottom, Goostrey A kept alive their hopes of avoiding relegation when they saw off Swettenham A by a 10-shot margin on home turf.
It was a week to forget for away teams in Division Two, when three sides failed to amass 100 chalks.
Swettenham B were the highest scorers, racking up 158 at home to Oughtrington B as they returned six winning cards.
Church Inn A recorded only a third league victory of the campaign when they saw off back-markers Warford Park A.
