A MEMBER of staff at an independent travel agency in Sale has won a prestigious industry award.
Karen Allen, a travel consultant at Aspen Travel, which operates a bespoke service to customers, was up against the best in the North West and North Wales, in the Agent Achievement of the Year 2017 Awards, which amazingly, it has now won for the ninth consecutive year.
Karen picked up the latest award at a glittering event held at Westminster Park Plaza in London from TV presenter Stephen Mulhearn.
She said: "Our boss Brendan Clancy is thrilled at the latest award as we have only been in our new premises (175 Washway Road) since April 2015 and is extremely proud of all the hard work by staff.
"We are an independent travel agent who can pretty much do any tailor made trip from the Northern Lights and river cruises to escorted tours, family holidays and ski holidays."
