“I expect residents from Knutsford, and further afield, to get health benefits from this intuitive way of delivering leisure facilities.”

CEC mayor Cllr Arthur Moran cut the ribbon to reopen the gym.

Paul Winrow, director of sport and operations for Everybody Sport and Recreation, said: “We are delighted to have been able to fund this significant investment into our Knutsford facility.

“We are committed to providing all residents across Cheshire East with access to modern, high-quality fitness equipment.

“It is clear from the feedback that we have had to date, that this improvement has been well received by both our existing customers and prospective new users of the facility.”
