AN apprentice at a Holmes Chapel nursery has been presented with a national award from within her company.

Kelly Halman picked up the Recognition of Career Progression award at the Busy Bees Training Graduation on Saturday, May 20.

Kelly was one of just nine award winners from across the country, and received her award at a ceremony at the National Conference Centre in Solihull.

She said: “We’re so humbled to pick up this award.

“We have such an amazing team here at the nursery and we couldn’t have achieved this without the support and guidance of our training officers and management team.

“It’s our passion to provide outstanding childcare and we’re really looking forward to the future continuing our success.”

The awards see apprentices and trainers from across the company commended for going ‘above and beyond’ over the past year.

Fay Gibbin, training manager for Busy Bees Training, said: “The event was a huge success and we were pleased to see so many of our candidates scoop the awards that they so clearly deserved.

“We have such a rich pool of talent here at Busy Bees Training and, as always, it was a tough call to find just one winner in each category.

“Whenever possible, we try to recognise the achievements of those who work so hard for us and we hope that each and every individual enjoyed the ceremony as much as we did.”

“Great staff are the lifeblood of our business and our aim, when they qualify, is that they become the future of the organisation through progressing into more senior positions.

“We have a wider business objective to show people that childcare is more than just a job, it is an extremely rewarding career which spans from entry level through to higher education and beyond.”

Busy Bees Training currently oversees more than 700 childcare, management and catering apprenticeships, as well as 20 short courses delivered at each of its 12 venues across the country.
