THREE players came through a qualifier organised by the Knutsford Bowling League for next month’s Cheshire Senior Merit in Urmston.
Jamie Bramley (Altrincham Borough) ended the hopes of Crosstown duo Kelvin Hardy and Lee Cadman to reserve a place in the main draw, while Budenberg’s Andy Pearson edged a thrilling head-to-head with Darren Brookes – also of Crosstown – at Railway Inn.
He had beaten Robert Eaton (Good Companions) in the first round before scoring a 21-20 success to make the cut.
Knutsford Bowling Club’s Robert Winnington completes the league’s contingent after easing past Kevin Williams (Chelford).
This year's edition is scheduled for Sunday, June 25.
