A KNUTSFORD choir is offering couples planning to tie the knot a chance for the choir to sing at their wedding - for charity.

Knutsford Star Choir, an all-female voice choir, has sung at a number of wedding venues including Colshaw Hall, Nunsmere Hall and Peckforton Castle.

The women are offering people to make a contribution to hire the choir, with the majority of the profits going to the bride and bridegroom’s chosen charity.

A spokesman for the choir said: “You may be planning your own wedding this year and have so much to think about regarding wedding venues, churches, dresses, suits, guests, flowers, food and music.

“If music be the ‘food of love’ what wedding wouldn’t be complete without a choir of lovely ladies to sing to your guests on arrival, sing hymns and songs during the signing of the register, or even sing to the bridal party and your guests as you enjoy prosecco and canapés on the terrace.”

Through the initiative, thousands of pounds have already been donated to charities including The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust in Millington, the Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK, and St Luke’s Hospital.
