PUPILS from Goostrey School came face to face with a giant dinosaur when it visited them in their classroom.
The surprise encounter was part of an archaeological day in which the children across all years learned about history of life on the planet.
Each year group took part in workshops to discover what the world was like millions of years ago.
At the end of the lessons, Millie the T-Rex made an unexpected appearance to lead a school assembly.
Lyndsey Atkins, head teacher at Goostrey Primary School, said: “Millie appearance was a complete surprise and so it wonderful to see the children’s faces when a giant dinosaur walked in.
“It was a very memorable day and I am sure the children learnt a great deal about what the world used to be like.”
