GARY Long amassed a season-high 119 points for Brook Street A during their meeting with strugglers Morley in the Knutsford and District Amateur League’s top-flight.
However it was not enough to prevent a 4-3 defeat.
Colin Hamer’s run of 41 was a highlight in only the victors’ second win of the season, helping him to see off Steve Prosser by 115 points in their head-to-head.
Champions Mobberley A became the first team to reach 100 points in the top-flight after beating Shaw Heath, who they had eliminated from the Team Knockout the previous week, for the third time this season.
Improving Mobberley B extended a winning sequence to four matches when they edged Alderley Union.
Elsewhere, Tatton lost 5-2 at home to Wilmslow Cons A.
Mobberley C continue to lead the way in Division Two following a 5-2 success against Mere B, while second-placed Wilmslow Cons B won 6-1 at Brook Street B.
Wilmslow RBL are four points further back in third place following a whitewash of back-markers Mere C.
Mere A won the first meeting of their double-header with Mobberley D, only to miss out 5-2 in the second.
