A MAN has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in an alleyway off Mobberley Road.
Police taped off an alleyway in the Lowe Drive area at around 3.45pm after attending reports of an assault, and found a 31-year-old man with a puncture wound to the stomach.
He has been taken to Wythenshawe Hospital where his condition is described as stable.
Sgt Matt Ashton said: "The investigation is in the very early stages but I would like to reassure people that this appears to be an isolated incident.
"Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing. If anyone has any concerns they are urged to speak to a local officer."
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 454 of January 6.
