A TALENTED Knutsford musician has fulfilled his lifelong ambition to record an album of his own piano compositions.

Adrian Lord, of Heron Close, began piano lessons aged six and studied piano at the Royal Northern College of Music.

The album, entitled ‘Journey- Twelve Romances for Piano’, reflects the path Adrian has taken with learning the piano, composing and recording as well as his travels to the recording venue.

Adrian chose to record his album in Crear in the West Coast of Scotland where he and wife Donna-Marie were married in March.

Producer Phil Hobbs, who has recorded many well-known classical musicians, worked with Adrian to ‘capture the atmosphere’ of the piano and the room.

Adrian said: “I have really enjoyed recording my album, and working with some very talented people.”

The album includes pieces dedicated to his late mother, who started him on his piano journey, and a piece written especially for his wedding day with Donna-Marie.

Adrian has also recently given concerts in Edinburgh Cathedral and Worcester Cathedral.

Adrian is now working towards his second album, which is to be recorded in 2017, again at Crear, followed by further concerts.
