COUPLES who married at St Cross Church in Knutsford are being invited to send in their photos for a very special Christmas Tree.
Organisers of this year’s Knutsford Community Christmas Tree Festival, which is taking place at the Mobberley Road church from December 8 to 11, are planning a ‘Celebrating St Cross Weddings’ tree at the 2016 festival.
They are hoping to decorate the branches with at least one photo from the past 50 years, but need public participation to help make it happen.
Judith Broughton, warden at St.Cross said, “We know so many people in and around Knutsford will have relatives who were married at St.Cross and decorating this Christmas Tree will be a lovely way to re-visit history old and new, there will be many people who will enjoy coming to visit the tree at the Christmas Tree Festival over the weekend of December 9 to 11, a nostalgic trip down memory lane.”
