MOBBERLEY C took the lead in a race for promotion to the Knutsford and District League’s top-flight after thrashing previous pacesetters Wilmslow RBL on Tuesday.
Wilmslow Cons B took over second spot after seeing off Mere B in similarly emphatic fashion.
The other Division Two matches were decided on aggregate after rival teams shared six frames, with Mere C captain Philip Simpson needing only 30 points to register a win against Mobberley D’s Kevin Harrison.
Champions Mobberley A are 19 points clear in Division One after restricting visitors Tatton to a single frame on Thursday.
Mobberley B slip to sixth after losing at Brook Street A, while Shaw Heath won four frames at second-placed Alderley Union.
However they missed out on a bonus point for their aggregate total.
Wilmslow Cons A edged out back-markers Morley in the other match played.
