A NEW contemporary home in Alderley Edge has earned a Knutsford-based family run homebuilder a place in the finals of the north’s most prestigious property awards.

‘Beaufort’, built by Henderson Homes, has been named as a finalist in the ‘best new build home’ category of the 2016 Northern Design Awards.

The annual award ceremony celebrates design excellence in residential and commercial property and boasts a judging panel of world-renowned designers, including Wayne Hemmingway, Linda Barker, George Bond, Nick Munro and HRH Princess Katarina, amongst many others.

‘Beaufort’ was designed in conjunction with Styal-based architect Annabelle Tugby, formerly of Stephenson Bell in Manchester.

Managing director Max Henderson said: "The competition at the Northern Design Awards is always spectacularly high so we’re very honoured to have made it through to the finals.

"We loved working on this property and were so proud of the finished result. It’s amazing to now have that effort recognised by such an esteemed judging panel.”

Finalists will attend an awards ceremony staged at The Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds on Friday, November 11.
