Egerton 4-3 Golborne Sports
OMRY Perel’s late goal secured maximum points for Egerton on Saturday, extending an unbeaten run in all competitions to eight matches.
Buoyed by the previous week’s derby success in the Cheshire FA Amateur Cup, Yellows assumed control when Perel and then Chris Trowbridge hit the net.
Their guests punished mistakes to draw level at 2-2, only for Charlie Anderson to restore the hosts’ advantage at Mereheath Lane.
Golborne, who ended the contest with 10 men following Daniel Kidd’s dismissal, equalised gain before Perel pinched a deserved victory for Steve Hardy’s side.
They visit back-markers Grappenhall this Saturday, kick off 2pm.
Meanwhile a draw for the county cup’s last 16 has paired them with Cheshire League third tier side Broadheath Central.
They meet in a fortnight.
