DEFENDING champions Mobberley A turned on the style to beat closest rivals Alderley Union in the Knutsford and District Amateur League’s top flight on Thursday.

They amassed a huge 443 points during a 5-2 success – their sixth in a row since the start of the season.

Morley’s reverse against Tatton means they prop up the table after losing the same number of matches.

Three teams are tied for top spot in Division Two.

Mobberley C, Wilmslow Cons B and Wilmslow RBL recorded 6-1 victories, with Mere C, Mere A and Brook Street B on the receiving end.
