KNUTSFORD and Mobberley pubs have been featured in CAMRA’s coveted Good Beer Guide.

The Bulls Head, in Mill Lane, Mobberley, a veteran of the guide having been featured for seven years, joins the Tap & Bottle in Minshull Street in the prestigious beer-lovers book.

The Tap & Bottle is the only pub in the town of Knutsford which has appeared in the Good Beer Guide for 2017.

The Bulls Head, which is part of the Cheshire Cat Pubs & Bars owned by Tim Bird and Mary McLaughlin, has appeared for its range of Cheshire micro-brewery cask ales.

Tim Bird, owner of Cheshire Cat Pubs & Bar and operator of The Bulls Head, said: “It is great that the Bulls Head is receiving recognition for consistently serving really great cask ale as this was our goal seven years ago when we opened the Bulls Head.

“As a company we are truly passionate about where we source all our products from and strive to stay local where possible. Fortunately in the north west, we are spoilt for choice.”

The Tap & Bottle, owned by Rick Hoskins, is receiving its second credit from CAMRA having been open in the town for less than 18 months.

In March 2016, following an opening in July 2015, the pub was named CAMRA East Cheshire’s pub of the season.

Rick, who is a former employee of Tatton Brewery, opened the first ever drinking establishment on Minshull Street.

He told the Guardian that beer is his 'passion'.

CAMRA is a voluntary organisations campaigning for real ale, which originated in the north west.
