Happy Birthday Elizabeth Gaskell
TODAY marks the 206th birthday of popular Knutsford author, Elizabeth Gaskell.
Mrs Gaskell, was born on September 29 1810 in Chelsea but lived in the town for many years before her death in 1865.
One of her most famous works, Cranford, which was written between 1851 and 1853, is modelled on Knutsford.
