He was praised for his incredible achievements at the college while holding three titles, assistant principal, director of college operations and marketing manager.

His position involves marketing the college to the domestic UK market, overseeing international student recruitment and managing the operations team within the college. Liz Elam, principal at the college said: “Iain is a great asset to us. He is a real people person and someone that has the respect of the entire college. He is a perfectionist and the “glue” that sticks the whole college together.

“He goes above and beyond his duties and is someone the whole college looks up to. We are very proud to be able to show Iain that his hard work is appreciated.”

Iain added: “I am overwhelmed to have received this award. I love my job and always try to do it to the very best of my ability. It is fantastic to be recognised for my hard work and commitment to Abbey College Manchester and hope to continue serving the college well for many years to come.”
