FIRE crews from Knutsford and Holmes Chapel used an inflatable raft to save a cow stuck in a canal.
The Knutsford animal rescue unit attended the scene at Clive Back Lane in Winsford along with another fire engine from Knutsford and one from Holmes Chapel on Wednesday, June 29 just after 5.30pm.
The crews were called to reports of a cow stuck in a canal. They used an inflatable raft to coax the cow from the water and to the safety of a nearby field.
They were at the scene for just over an hour and a half trying to get the animal out.
