PLUMLEY residents turned out to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday last weekend, thanks to a grant from Cheshire East Council.
People living in Moorcroft were all invited to the street party, which took place from 1.30pm to 4.30pm and saw people enjoying family games, food and a bouncy castle.
Evelyn Painter, 89, was dressed as the Queen complete with crown and cake ahead of her own birthday in September.
Sarah Hargreaves, who co-organised the event with Plumley resident Norma Hall, said: “It was a right royal affair with our very own Queen, Mrs Painter, attending.
“All of Moorcroft came together to celebrate in style. Not even the weather could dampen our spirits. We had a bouncy castle, face painting, games and lots of yummy food. What a great day was had by all.”
