IT might be hard to believe this late in April but the Met Office has issued a yellow warning of snow for Cheshire.
Residents will need to wrap up warm between midnight tonight, Thursday, and 10am tomorrow morning, Friday as an area of rain, sleet and snow will come southeastwards.
A spokesman added: "After a fine start to the day, with sunny spells and just the odd shower, it will turn increasingly cloudy, with rain, sleet and hill snow pushing in from the west later this morning and afternoon.
"Outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow will continue through the night, though with some drier interludes also. It will feel chilly, with temperatures in low single figures.
"Accumulations of 5 to 10 cm are likely above 200 to 300 m with locally 2 to 4 cm to around 100 m.
"Please be aware of the risk of difficult driving conditions and disruption to transport."
