RESIDENTS at a Knutsford retirement block have celebrated the Queen’s birthday with a commemorative party organised by one of the tenants.
The party was held at Ash Court on King Edward Road on Thursday, April 21, the Queen’s real birthday after being organised by Betty Howes.
Susan Shearon, development manager at Ash Court, said: “We had readings from Barbara Hewitt of the Queen’s own words, read in Queen’s English.
“Our resident Molly Gill was very convincing, dressed as the Queen. She really looked the part. It was all very patriotic.
“An excellent tea-time buffet was provided by Cheshire Caterers, Gill and Jo Risley, who waited on us treating us all like royalty.
