A TREASURED collection of photographs from early 20th century Knutsford, including a number of images from the Royal May Day festival will soon be available to purchase.
Wright Marshall auctioneers, located on Church Hill, will auction off the collection of photographs at its May sale on Tuesday, May 10.
A number of the photographs have come from well-known Knutsfordian Amy Clowes, who was a regular contributor to the Guardian before she sadly died in 2003.
As well as pictures of the Royal May Queen, there are images of sports teams from the turn of the century, and photographs of the procession through Knutsford with spectators lining the streets.
