KNUTSFORD’s Curzon Theatre has joined forces with a public health partnership to deliver an important message to its visitors.

The cinema, will this week invite customers to visit the Cheshire Living Well Dying Well Partnership to think about how they can make the most from life.

The partnership has been developed in line with ‘The Ecstacy of Wilko Johnson’, which follows renowned singer Wilko Johnson through his diagnosis with terminal cancer.

The partnership hope that people will stop by to learn more about having a healthy attitude towards life, and death.

Adam Morgan, assistant manager at The Curzon in Knutsford, said: “Everyone has a negative stance when it comes to death.

“But as Wilko Johnson shows, a bit of positivity can make a huge difference. It is mind over matter and you can take it into your own hands.

“We just want people to come in, have a chat and feel more positive.”

The Cheshire Living Well Dying Well partnership contact the cinema after one of their team saw Wilko Johnson’s new film and felt inspired by the message.

Rachel Zammit, head of public health and wellbeing at The End of Life Partnership, said: “This is all about embracing life and death, and speaking about it.

“Aging and death is a normal part of life but the focus we have is on the living. We work with many different communities to see how we can engage them to see what they want from life.”

The next showing of 'The Ecstacy of Wilko Johnson' is on Wednesday August 26 at 1pm.
