PREPARATIONS are ramping up for this year’s Bank Holiday festivities in Knutsford, and one pub is welcoming guests for a whole weekend of charitable celebrations.
Managers at the Legh Arms, Zoe and Matt Blythe, are finalising plans for the two-day beer and music festival, held within the grounds each year.
On Saturday August 29 and Sunday August 30 from midday to midnight, Leghfest will offer Knutsford residents and guests a smorgasboard of the town’s finest musical talent and a range of ales.
Guests will be entertained with performance from five live bands and a comedian each day, including ‘Run no Run’, ‘Lucas Marks’ and ‘Half Way Home’.
There will also be eight guest cask ales, three guest ciders and three continental premium lagers, which will all be served in the beer garden.
Tickets are priced at £5 per person per day, and all proceeds will be donated to the Christie NHS Foundation Trust, for which £1,000 was raised last year.
A hog roast and BBQ will be served all day in the beer garden and there is a marquee in case of unpredictable British summer weather.
