A DUO of brilliant young Mobberley students from St. Ambrose College A-ced their GCSEs to help the Hale Barns Catholic Grammar School register record GCSE results.
On the left is Gregor Hutchinson, 16, from Town Lane who got eight A*s and three A grades with Nicholas Royle, 16, , who got a clean sweep of 11 A*s.
An impressive 61 per cent of all grades were either A* or A up from 52 per cent the previous year with the A* to C pass rate increasing to 98.2 per cent from 97.1 per cent.
St Ambrose College headmaster Michael Thompson said: “It's important to stretch the brightest minds and our young men have clearly enjoyed and risen to the challenges set."
