A SIX-YEAR-OLD boy from Peover has received a special award for being the kindest pupil in his school.

Harvey Curbishley, who is going into year two at Peover Superior Endowed Primary School in September, received the ‘kindness award’ on the last day of term.

His mum Carly, who had gone to school to pick him up on the last day, was astounded when she heard the news from his class one teacher, Miss Williams.

Carly said: “His teacher said you should be so proud of Harvey he has received the kindness trophy for this year.

“I didn’t even know anything about the award, I had no idea he was getting it. I have to say I was absolutely blown off my feet, one big very proud mummy moment.”

Harvey received the trophy, which has now been engraved with his name, for ‘always demonstrating a wonderful, kind and helpful nature towards others.’

Carly said: “All I know is I try to him teach right from wrong, to always say please and thank you and to do his best and be nice. But Harvey has done this all by himself.

“I am over the moon, amazed so very proud of my son.”
